In Actuarial Science), in collaboration with department of Finance under University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS) and Department of Statistics under the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS). More on Actuarial Science IN UDSM, click here In Tanzania, University Of Dar es Salaam have not yet been accredited exemptions from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA)  . In doing so, for an actuarial science student from UDSM to  become an actuary, at fellowship level, h/she has to do a series of Actuarial Profession Exams. In April 29 2017,we had our fifth career day, it was an excellent opportunity for students, graduates, stakeholders, companies to come together with an ambition to develop, explore new  skills, technical expertise to take the actuarial profession to greater heights. Our Patron, University of Dar es Salaam Mathematics Department did  a grand Opening of the event by explaining on UDSM Actuarial Programme. The head of Department, Prof E Mureithi had the honor.

Actuarial Science Students Association of University of Dar es Salaam (ASSAUD) is an academic association established in November 2012 following the establishment of BSc. in Actuarial Sciences at University of Dar es Salaam in the academic year 2010/2011. ASSAUD aims at bringing together Actuarial students, academic staffs and other interested stakeholders from outside the university to foster knowledge and promote the actuarial professional which is based on the evaluation of the financial, economic and business implications of future contingent events; by applying knowledge and skills in probability, statistics, mathematics and finance, actuaries provide commercial, financial and prudential advice on the management of assets and liabilities - especially where long term management and planning are critical factors.
